It's Been A Long Time

It's been a long time since we've posted; time seems to fly by so quickly these days. Its been a busy and snowy winter and we are ready for spring !!

To bring you up to date, we had the holidays in November and December, as well as Haley's birthday.

For Thanksgiving this year we headed to Andrew's brother's new home in Maryland and were joined there by his mother and father as well as his sister Shelly and brother-in-law Jack. Needless to say, Judi put her years of experience in event planning to work and organized a wonderful, fun-filled visit. We went to the National Zoo, the Baltimore Aquarium, visited the Lexington Market where we enjoyed Faidley's World Famous Crab Cakes and some fantastic jazz, and had some fun in the sun at some local parks.

In December, we celebrated Hanukkah as well as Haley's birthday. We attended a Hanukkah celebration at Har HaShem as well as one with our Chavurah. Peggy, our family photographer, attended both as well and got some great pictures as usual.

Mom and Dad Halperin were in for a visit in December and were able to attend the Chavurah Hanukkah party as well as Haley's 3rd birthday party. Since Haley loves art, we held her birthday party at Clementine Studios and she had a great time being creative. It was great having family in Colorado for Haley's special day.

January, February and March have past quickly with our recovering from the holidays and simply enjoying the routine of family life.

In January, we helped Peggy's celebrate her birthday during "Peggy's Birthday Month". This was super special as she is not only our family photographer but our good friend!!


Andrew and Sarah headed east to visit his parents in February. Dad had knee replacement surgery the week after they moved into a new home and Andrew and Sarah headed out to lend a helping hand. Sarah loved hanging with Grandma and Grandpa and enjoyed visiting the indoor community pool every day!


In March, we celebrated Purim and attended the Purim Carnival at Har HaShem. Sarah dressed up as a dog, complete with a bone and leash. Haley dressed up as a cow and was very easy to keep track of while she was wearing her cow bell!! So cute! Brenda tried her hand at making Hamantasen (over 6 dozen) for Sarah's classroom and our own enjoyment. They were enjoyed by all and were very yummy!Sarah is jiving on being in her third year of Primary Montessori and Haley is actually looking forward to going to school next year. Sarah is involved in several extra-curricular activities as well. She is making great progress with her swim lessons and will most likely start swim team this coming summer. She participated in a 10-week indoor rock climbing class this winter to prep her for the summer and some rock climbing with Dad. She is currently taking ice skating lessons on Saturday although we don't know yet if it is figure skating or hockey that holds her interest. On Sundays, Sarah has Hebrew school and during which Brenda attends a class to learn Hebrew as well.

Haley (and Becky) continue to have a busy schedule during the week and attend Music Together class, swimming lessons, gymnastics & dance, and art. By the end of the day, Haley is looking forward to seeing big sister Sarah...well, at least most of the time.

Currently, we're in the throws of spring break and Becky is taking the opportunity to take the girls out to a bunch of events.....the Denver Zoo, a circus and story time at the library.
